The core of the MDVIP advantage is the Wellness Program. This data gives you and your physician a more comprehensive view of your health and provides you with the direction you need to take to achieve optimal wellness.
How it Works

Part One of the Annual Wellness Program involves fasting bloodwork and diagnostic testing. In preparation for your annual wellness appointment with your provider, you will visit our in-house lab for the MDVIP bloodwork panel. On the same day, after completing labs, your doctor’s clinical staff will review some of your medical history with you and perform customary diagnostic tests such as hearing screening, vision screening, EKG, Body Composition Analysis, and ankle-brachial index, for example. The MDVIP bloodwork panel and diagnostic tests are included in your annual MDVIP Membership. Your physician may add additional testing (i.e. PSA screening for prostate cancer or additional testing for chronic disease management) that will be submitted to insurance. This is done as a convenience to avoid additional visits or blood draws.

Around the time of your wellness visits (Part One or Part Two), we encourage you to meet with our Registered Dietitian to discuss your current dietary and exercise practices. This appointment develops the framework for your physician to assist you on your journey to nutritional wellness. If you feel that more time would be valuable after this 15-minute consultation, we invite you to schedule an hour-long session to obtain the full benefits of her services. This extended appointment would not be included in the complimentary services offered for the wellness program.

Approximately two weeks after your Part One visit, you will meet with your provider for Part Two. Your physician will perform a complete physical exam and review the results of the diagnostic tests, lab work, and health questionnaires. You and your physician will discuss any health concerns and develop an individualized wellness care plan based on information gathered during the annual wellness visit process.

In the weeks following your visit, you will receive a letter via USPS mail that contains all of information that was discussed and copies of the lab and testing results. In addition, your wellness plan will be accessible to you 24/7 on the electronic MDVIP portal.
