As an internal medicine physician with a background in both inpatient and outpatient medicine, I see each patient as a human being rather than an organ system or diagnosis. Through this personalized healthcare approach and my 25+ years of medical expertise, I help my patients understand and prioritize their health so they can prevent disease and better manage chronic conditions. I view my role as collaborative, grounded in understanding the unique needs and health goals of each patient. Communication is paramount to the doctor-patient relationship. I spend extra time developing meaningful relationships with my patients to elevate and personalize treatment plans.
My degree in Culinary Medicine helps me in teaching healthy life-style interventions that improve and optimize health. In addition, I help my patients incorporate exercise with full body benefits into their routine, such as Pilates, weight training and Yoga. I specialize in preventive medicine, women’s health, nutrition, integrative health and evidence-based medicine to optimize chronic conditions.
I am affiliated with Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland and Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, I enjoy teaching medical students in both the classroom and exam room at Georgetown University School of Medicine. I look forward to meeting you.
